In a recent conversation on Friday, Windhorst disclosed that he had engaged in dialogue with a senior executive from the league. The executive praised Nick Nurse for his exceptional contributions in shaping the team's offensive philosophy, emphasizing how Nurse has encouraged players to freely distribute the ball. This approach has alleviated the pressure on individual players regarding shot-taking responsibilities. Instead, the focus has shifted to the execution of the team's offensive strategy, which has proven to be effective. The executive also commended Nurse's efforts and expressed admiration for the players' willingness to embrace the system. He highlighted the importance of players comprehending the rationale behind the coach's decisions and their readiness to adhere to the strategy.
